AGRA–JAIPUR–UDAIPUR

6 Days/5 Night

Day 1- DELHI – AGRA

Drive to Agra in a Sun Tour’s vehicle, approximately 203 kilometres and takes around 3-3.5 hours via the Yamuna Expressway. On the way you will cross F1 race track, the town of Noida and Greater Noida (Hub of BPOs and call centers in India) and Mathura which is a sacred city and birth place of Lord Krishna.  Full day City tour of Agra includes visit to Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Sikandra. Overnight in Agra.

(The Taj Mahal is closed every Fridays. All other monuments are open all days of the week).

Day 2- AGRA – JAIPUR

After breakfast, driver overland for the old city of Fatehpur Sikri (40 kilometres from Agra), the abandoned capital of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri is a classic example of Mughal Architecture and is quite well preserved. Continue to Jaipur, called the Pink City for the extensive use of pink stone on its buildings. The city is approximately 200 kilometres (3-3.5 hours). Arrive late evening in the capital city of the colorful state of Rajasthan. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 3- JAIPUR

After breakfast, begin with a city tour of Jaipur. Visit the impressive Amber Fort. You can also take an elephant ride up to the gate of the fort. The fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture, stunningly located on a hillside overlooking a lake. Also visit the City Palace and Museum, Jai Singh’s Observatory, The Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). Evening free to wander through the colourful markets. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 4- JAIPUR-Udaipur

After breakfast, depart for Udaipur which is approximately 430 kilometres/6.5 – 7 hours drive from Jaipur or take a flight from Jaipur to Udaipur. If you travel overland, with slight detour, you can have lunch at Shahpura Bagh. En-route visit Ranakpur temples (Ranakpur is famous for its white marble Jain temple. There is also a Sun Temple, which is managed by the royal family trust) and Kumbhalgarh Fort (Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, in the Rajsamand District of Rajasthan state in western India. The fort has the second largest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China and is the second largest fort in Rajasthan after Chittorgarh Fort.). Arrive Udaipur and check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 5 - UDAIPUR

After breakfast, enjoy a tour of the Lake City of Udaipur.

10:00 am: Visit the huge City Palace of Udaipur, towering over the Lake Pichola and is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Also visit the Jagdish temple, a fine example of Indo-Aryan art that continues to be frequented by believers until this day, and Sahelion Ki Bari, the exclusive garden of the royal ladies who once lived in the palaces. Enjoy a boat ride on the serene and beautiful Lake Pichola with the sun setting behind the hills. Visit the Bagore-ki Haveli to witness the show. This gracious 18th-century haveli, set on the water’s edge in the Gangaur Ghat area, was built by a Mewar prime minister and has since been carefully restored.  In the evening you can take a boat ride on the Pichola Lake. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 6- DEPART UDAIPUR

Morning depart for Udaipur Airport to take your onward flight.
