Taj Mahal: The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built this famous mausoleum, to show his eternal love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal .The Taj Mahal is wonderful by dawn, day or dusk. And if you are patient see it by moonlight too. This perfectly symmetrical monument took 22 years (1630-1652) of hard labor and 20,000 workers, masons and jewelers to build and is set amidst landscaped gardens.
Agra Fort: Agra Fort is a must be visited to see the magnificent architectural styles, a rare combination of the aesthetic sensibilities of three different Mughal Kings, namely, Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. The inside complex of the fort is massive. It is like a city on the inside with many buildings, street and shops.
Sikandra Tomb: Sikandra, the Mughal complex is the tomb of Akbar that is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Built of sandstone Jehangir later covered the tomb with marble after his father’s death.
Itmad ud Daula (Baby Taj): This exquisite marble tomb was made by Emperor Jahangir's queen, Nurjahan , in the memory of her father Mirza Ghias Beg during 1622-1628 A.D. Built entirely in white marble and inlaid with semi-precious stones, this mausoleum on the bank of the Yamuna River, exhibits a strong Persian influence.
