Day 2Chennai - Kanchipuram – Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram)
This day after breakfast, drive to Kanchipuram which is 70 kilometers from the Chennai airport and it takes an hour to reach Kanchipuram. While in Kanchipuram you can visit the temples and local villages which is preferred by most tourists. Evening drive to Mamallapuram which is 70 kilometers/1 hour drive from Kanchipuram. Stay overnight at Mamallapuram.
Day 3 Mamallapuram – Puducherry (Pondicherry
After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry (or Puducherry) meaning ’the new settlement’. It was a French settlement comprising of Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam besides Pondicherry. On arrival check in at your hotel. During your afternoon tour visit SRI AUROBINDO ASHRAM, where Sri Aurobindo and the Mother lived for the most parts of their lives. The Pondicherry museum is home to some of the most exquisite collections on architecture and sculpture. Pondicherry also has a pleasant beach alongside promenade and historical monuments). Stay overnight in Puducherry.
Day 4Puducherry - Chidambaram - Thanjavur
After breakfast, drive to Tanjore (Thanjavur). Enroute visit the sightseeing places in/around Chidambaram. In the afternoon depart for Thanjavur which is 140 kilometers and it takes 3 hours to reach Thanjavur. Stay overnight in Thanjavur.
Day 5Thanjavur - Madurai
Madurai is approximately 160 Kms from Thanjavur and while traveling by road it takes around 4 -5 hours to reach Madurai. Thanjavur has some famous temples, museum and palaces.
Arrive Madurai and check in at your hotel. If time permits you may visit Meenakshi temple the same day or the next day before departing for Munnar. Stay overnight in Madurai.
Day 6Madurai - Munnar
After a sumptuous breakfast, drive to Munnar which is 250 kilometres and it takes 5 hours .Check in at your hotel One of the most popular hill stations in southern India Known for its sprawling tea gardens. Check in to your room at your hotel. Afternoon go for sightseeing as per your own convenience to Pothamedu, located 6 km from Munnar, to enjoy excellent view of the tea, Coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. Stay overnight at Hotel in Munnar.
After Breakfast full Day sightseeing covering Matuppetti dam, Indo Swiss Project, Eravikulam national park and Lock Heart Gap an ideal place for adventure Tourism and trekking, to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the mist-clad hills. Stay overnight at Hotel in Munnar.
Day 8Munnar – Alleppey (Cruise on backwaters)
Depart by road for Alleppey, Houseboat (170 Kilometres, Approx. 5 hrs). Arrive & check-in at your Kettuvallam (houseboat). Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy backwater countryside. Lunch, evening tea with snacks and dinner served on board. The boat cruises during the day and anchors for the night. Stay overnight at Houseboat.
Day 9Alleppey - Cochin
Depart for Cochin which is 140 kilometres and it takes 4 hrs. Check in at the hotel then visit St. Francis Church - The first European church in India. Explore the old spice market at Mattancherry and in afternoon go for Kathakali performance Stay overnight in Cochin.
Day 10Cochin airport drop
After breakfast drive to Cochin airport to take your onward flight.
